Loved the content of the course! The lecturers are also clearly passionate about what they are teaching and illustrate everything with clinical scenarios or from their past experiences which I found very useful. Very COVID precaution-friendly set up and adaptations were made if required. Extremely helpful admin staff always went above and beyond to help with any issues that arose. Cannot praise them enough. I completed the course from another country and would highly recommend it.
I attended the November, 2020 training and thoroughly enjoyed and learnt so much during my week in Manchester. Jo and Liz are fantastic teachers and really inspired me! I would definitely recommend this course to anyone that does Dysphagia as part of their work. Also really appreciated the effort to ensure that the training week was Covid secure! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much to everyone involved in running the course and ensuring it all went smoothly. From before I had arrived, I felt informed of how the course would run in light of Covid restrictions and felt reassured on arrival. The venue did a great job of supporting social distancing and there was plenty of space to do so. The caterers were brilliant and very accommodating for veggies and vegans, also using biodegradable cups, plates and cutlery to further reduce risk involved in sharing utensils. Special thanks to Liz and Jo for delivering the course in such a flexible way. We were unable to do small group work but this did not impact the quality of teaching.
I attended the Post Basic Dysphagia Course in September 2020. It was very well organised and I felt completely safe in terms of Covid 19. We used microphones to share information that were cleaned after each use. The catering followed all Covid guidelines. I had no concerns about attending this course at this venue.
The course was well managed and felt safe and secure. Lots of procedures have been put in place to make sure guidelines are met. It was professional but also relaxed and fun and despite not being able to do some of the practice activities and group work we still acquired an indepth knowledge of the content discussed. Thank you so much Liz and Jo.
Social distancing was extremely well managed on the course. I didn’t get any closer than 1 meter to anyone all week (2m when seated). It wasn’t the most sociable experience but I had no concerns about COVID at all.
Fantastic course! I felt extremely comfortable throughout the week as COVID Guidelines were adhered to throughout. They had well prepared one way systems throughout the building, limited numbers in the toilets and ample space in the teaching theatre. Excellent overall experience.
I felt safe knowing Liz, Jo and the manager of the venue had taken the guidelines into consideration. As well as the catering team! The seating areas were well thought out and I felt at ease on Day 1. ?
The venue felt very safe and the procedures put in place were followed by all attendees. The food was excellent and meant that by tea time I didn’t feel the need to go into Manchester on an evening for food – just had snacks / light food at my hotel room. I would encourage anyone feeling anxious to attend during Covid to either drive here or stay at one of the two Salford Quays Premier Inn Hotels. The course itself was also comprehensive and group tasks were adapted really well.
Course content was excellent – detailed, interactive and engaging! Lecturers had extensive knowledge and experience and were really friendly and approachable. Lots of Covid compliant strategies implemented (e.g. social distancing at desks and 1 way system) made me feel safe and secure ? I would highly recommend this course!
