Cancellation due to COVID

If the course has to be cancelled due to COVID-19, applicants will receive a full refund of the course fee. If the course is postponed due to COVID-19 applicants who are unable to attend on the alternative dates will receive a full refund of the course fee.

Cancellation / transfer prior to course full

Before the course they have applied to attend is full, applicants can request to transfer to a later course by contacting the course administrator. If an applicant cancels prior to the commencement of the course and before the course is full, they will receive a refund of any course fees paid minus a cancellation fee of £50 + VAT to cover the cost of administering their application and cancellation.

Cancellation / transfer after course full

If an applicant cancels / wishes to transfer prior to the commencement of the course but after the course is full, they will only receive a refund of any course fees paid (minus a cancellation fee of £50 + VAT) or be allowed to transfer if the organizers are able to arrange a replacement student who is able to pay the course fees prior to the commencement of the course. This is because the number of students attending each course is restricted to optimize the quality of the course and applicants will have been turned away once the course became full. Applicants should not assume that the existence of a waiting list means they will receive a refund of their fees if they cancel or be allowed to transfer after the course is full as it may not be possible for those on the waiting list to arrange finance, accommodation, time off work, etc at short notice. Obviously the sooner an applicant informs the organizers that they wish to cancel / transfer, the more likely that the organizers will be able to fill their place and hence issue a refund.

Cancellation / transfer after commencement of course

Applicants who cancel after the commencement of the course will not receive a refund and transfers will not be permitted as it will be too late to replace them.

Cancellation by organizers

If the organizers cancel the course, applicants will be entitled to a full refund of the course fees minus £100 + VAT for each day of the Theoretical Week that has been held. So if the organizers cancel the course before the Theoretical Week, applicants will receive a full refund. If the organizers cancel the course after the Theoretical Week, students will receive a full refund minus £500 + VAT. The organizers are not liable for any additional expenses that the students incur (such as travel, accommodation, etc).
