After completing the course I feel confident and ready to work with a dysphagia caseload; I would highly recommend this course to anyone considering a career in dysphagia.
Just reflecting on the week long theoretical week delivered by Liz and Jo. They made the course engaging and were very well organised to ensure on time delivery of sessions and runnings of the day. Organising for other professionals to come and delivery elements was also very useful to get an overview of their role within dysphagia management. The course venue was also great, and staff were very accommodating. I feel a lot more confident now about working with people with dysphagia and I’m looking forward to completing the supervisory period.
I really enjoyed this course and would definitely recommed it to others. All of the lectures were relevant and informative. The atmosphere was relaxed throughout the week and I always felt able to ask questions. The course has really challenged my current practice and I feel that I have lots of new ideas/information to take back to the workplace. Great food/refreshments too 🙂
Thank you Liz and Jo for delivering a very informative and inspiring course! Both tutors were very engaging, friendly and approachable and managed to teach complex theory in a way that could be easily understood. The venue was also excellent and all the staff were really friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend the course to others.
A great course that I would recommend to others. The theoretical content was thorough and the coursework really allowed me to focus my learning and was flexible enough to incorporate my own interests and learning styles. The best thing for me was how flexible and accommodating the organisers were to life’s little interruptions such as job changes, pregnancies, etc! It took me two years to finish the course but I got there in the end thanks to the support of the organisers.
Would really recommend this course. Informative, well organised and a great overview of theory provided by Jo and Liz. By doing all the coursework, logs and hours you are able to really develop your dysphagia knowledge. Very good lunches and refreshments provided also during the course.
A great course. Jo and Liz made the week not only informative and interesting but fun! Enough time was given to each section within the lectures and presentations and there was also plenty time to ask any questions. This made the course, and its content, accessible for all. I left feeling excited about dysphagia.
I would highly recommend this course.
A fantastic course! Detailed, organised, engaging and interesting. Jo and Liz were fantastic at supporting and guiding on how to apply the theory to the real life clinical world. I would highly recommend it.
I really enjoyed this course and was really impressed at how Liz and Jo kept it so engaging throughout the week. Plenty of time was allowed for questions both during lectures and afterwards. I also agree with what Geraldine mentioned, the thought of coursework, exams, etc was a little daunting but actually they really brought together everything I had learned during my time on the course.
Great course with great tutors. Thanks a lot!
A really informative course, would definately recommend! Feel that the five days was just right, and course tutors gave plenty of opportunity for discussion and questions. Although originally slightly daunted by the coursework and exams, I felt this enabled us to really apply what we had learnt, and feel that will retain the information better this way.
Thanks again for a really enjoyable course!
