I stayed at the Premier Inn Media City hotel which was perfect to stay for the week. The location was great, about a 20 – 25 minute walk to the venue where the training was occurring. The trams close by (5 minute walk) meant that you could also go into the city and explore Manchester city with ease during the evenings if you wished. Also close were lots of restaurant choices around the Quays and a lovely walk if you fancy it. The hotel itself was clean, big rooms, comfy and great for a quiet sleep after a long study day. Would highly recommend for location and comfort.

I stayed at the Premier Inn while attending the dysphagia training and found it to be a reliable and comfortable option. The room was clean, quiet, and just right for relaxing after a full day. Everything worked as expected, and the staff were polite and helpful.

It was also easy to get to and from the training venue, which made the logistics simple. There were some good options for dining in the evenings nearby, which was really convenient after a long day. Overall, I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a well-located, no-fuss place to stay during the course.

I stayed at the Travelodge Manchester Piccadilly. It’s across the road from Piccadilly Gardens, so in the very center of the city but you wouldn’t have known once you were in the hotel! A perfect stay for the November course so you can go to the Christmas markets, and the places to eat are endless! I bought a 7-day anytime travel card for Zones 1+2, which cost £17 for the week. The tram stop is a 2 minute walk from the hotel, the trams were frequent (approx. every 10 minutes) and then it was a 10 minute walk from Ladywell tram stop to the venue.

The Holiday Inn Express in Salford Quays was conveniently located just an 8-minute drive from the venue, with taxi fares ranging between £8 and £10. Although the hotel was within a 40-minute walking distance, the weather conditions made walking impractical, so we opted for taxis each day. This arrangement was both efficient and comfortable, ensuring timely arrival at the venue.
